Aching Legs and a Flat Tummy-God's Gift

Hey! I am so excited about writing on my blog that I wont follow the usual and recommended order in reporting my life (none of which-usual and recommended- btw describes my attitude in life). I just came back from a threatening (dont ask me what it threatened- I am using the word to only help dramatise the situation) accident where I fell off a bike and was bed ridden for a month with a fractured hand and bruised plams and a knee. During this time I went back home, to Delhi, and was stuffed with paranthas and desi ghee by my loving mum. But thats the way most Punju moms are. Granted.

The only hitch was that my very flat stomach got an offshoot of its own during this time. To me I was looking like a male Sea Horse with 2 months of pregnancy. Seriously, I believe in a life of balance - I work out only so I can hog like crazy and live off chocolates- God's greatest gift to mankind, after women,of course. Or is that a curse? Forget it. I'll save that for a later time:)

Anyways, I joined the Gym in my office and was doing the treadmill (no puns please- I dont do machines..He hee) when I realised how lucky I was to have all my limbs in place. All of us have lost stuff over time (perishables like money, friends, virginity) and feel the lost item's void. I just wondered after 12 mins on the treadmill how would folks with no legs feel if given legs to run for a day? Come to think of it, we all pray for things we dont have-like I do, for integrity:)- and think of people who do. Deep down, once in a while also find the time to envy those lucky bastards. But we hardly look at what follows us-about folks who dont have what we do. And so I ran ( much like "Run Forest Run!") for another min or so at 13.5 KMPH with sweat fountaining outta my thinly haired head and feeling like an object of curiousity to the two gentleman on their treadmills-to my left and right. With their faces reading,"What the hell is wrong with this dude! Are u trying to outrun the treadmill?" I couldnt care less. For I thanked God for giving me what he(or she) has given. And so I ran. And so should you-"Run joker Run!!"
